Joseph is a 4th-year Kinesiology undergraduate student majoring in Social and Behavioural Science with a minor in Asian Studies at UBC. His research interests lie primarily in popular culture and media and their correlation to gender, sexuality, social class, and representation. Currently, he is completing a directed study under the supervision of Dr. Shannon Herrick and Dr. Erica Bennett, exploring the relationship between body image and East-Asian male-presenting online users on Instagram and TikTok. Outside of school, Joseph stays active by working out and dancing. When not active, you can find him chronically online, watching anime, listening to K-pop, or playing video games.
